They want WHAT??? For Beer Bread!?!

I saw a mix for this the other day, and couldn’t believe how pricey it was!! So, it’s “The Pink Bunny” to the rescue for those of use who don’t like being overcharged for something so simple!!


Oh, and for those of you who have never tried this bread – it is great warm with or without some butter (but why not use it?) and it is equally good cold, straight from the fridge (which is where you want to keep any leftovers of this bread!). Make a loaf today – even your “non-drinking”  friends will love this one! It’s always a hit anywhere it appears.  😉 

**Side Note: My camera has dead batteries right now, so I will have to add photos to this post later. Until then, just imagine lovely light-brown bread that is dense and moist and YUMMY!!!  🙂

Bunny Beer Bread

4 cups flour

2 Tablespoons baking powder

2 tsp salt

1/4 cup sugar

1 can (12 ounces) beer

1 egg, slightly beaten

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar all together. Add the beer and the egg to mixture both at once, and stir – mixing together well (you may have to use your hands at this point to knead last bits together).

Place into a greased 9″ x 5″ loaf pan.

Bake at 375 degrees until done – approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Immediately remove loaf from pan to cool.

Eat up!!!  😉

But, save a slice or 2 for me please!   🙂  

It’s addictive – but, in a good way!
